Frequently asked questions
Q. Why do we need the Leading Directions Performance Reports?
A. With no significant DEEWR performance data available for nearly the first year of the DES contract, Leading Directions developed an external method of performance analysis which compared your performance with others around Australia.  With the slow filtering in of accurate data from DEEWR, the Leading Directions Performance Checks will begin to consolidate both sources of data to create the most accurate Targets possible, with clear, concise instructions on how to increase and sustain your performance.
Q. Won’t DEEWR be releasing their own performance data?
A.

DEEWR has announced the first Health Check will not include any information relevant to DEEWR’s performance KPI’s, limited administrative data will be available in July 2010. The first Health Check which contains results relevant to DEEWR’s performance KPI’s is not expected until approximately November/December of 2010, and this will not be in a finalised format. Full DEEWR Health Checks will not become available in EA Reporting until 2011.

update: As at early February 2011, DES KPI reports have been made available on EA Reporting but still contain some inaccurate data.

Q. Why is performance so important?
A. DEEWR has made it clear that they expect motivated jobseekers to choose the highest performing providers in their ESA. This will make it extremely hard for lower performing organisations to improve their performance and income once Star Ratings have been released.
